Darren Drake is responsible for portfolio and asset management activities for Stockbridge’s opportunity funds and additionally contributes to the firm’s acquisition efforts. Mr. Drake has 21 years of real estate industry experience, including in the sourcing, underwriting, structuring, financing and closing of potential investment opportunities as well as the ongoing management of investments. Mr. Drake joined the founding Stockbridge professionals in 1994 when they were executives at PaineWebber and its predecessor. During his tenure with Stockbridge, PaineWebber and its predecessor, Mr. Drake has evaluated real estate and real estate-related assets with a total cost of over $5.3 billion for acquisition, development, redevelopment and sale. Formerly, Mr. Drake served as a Senior Vice President in PaineWebber’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group and was involved in the underwriting and structuring of numerous debt and equity financing transactions, as well as merger and acquisition transactions and financial advisory assignments for real estate and hospitality companies. Previously, Mr. Drake was a real estate consultant with Kenneth Leventhal & Company, where he specialized in real estate valuation and due diligence. Mr. Drake received a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College.
